2014 Kiwi Treasures Silver Specimen Coin

The silver specimen coin beautifully represents two of New Zealand's natural treasures - the kiwi and Mitre Peak.

  • The third silver specimen coin in the 'Kiwi Treasures' series
  • Combines the kiwi with Mitre Peak - one of New Zealand's most photographed attractions which sits in the Milford Sound
  • Reduced worldwide mintage of 10,000

The $1 silver specimen coin is minted from fine 0.999 silver, with a raised and polished kiwi against a frosted background.

The coin captures Mitre Peak in all its glory, with three unfurling fern fronds (koru) swirling around it to represent the realm of Tāwhirimātea (God of the Winds).

With a reduced mintage of only 10,000 this year, you'll need to get in quickly!
